Skin Care Tips

Citrus
Need a little detox? Lemons support your liver and kidneys, and there’s a clear connection between healthy organs and healthy skin. Vitamin C-rich foods such as oranges may help prevent wrinkles, too. A diet rich in vitamin C and low in fats and sugar promotes radiant skin. Consider a low-sugar diet, which can keep insulin levels down, allowing cells to maintain a healthy balance.

Avoid hot showers that can be drying
I think its safe to say we all enjoy a Hot shower, especially in this cold weather lately, But this can be damaging to the Skin. Therefore go for a warmer shower to prevent dryness to the skin ans always moisturize your skin afterwards.

Sun and Skin
Apply sunscreen with SPF of at least 15 that blocks both UVA and UVB rays. Since a lifetime of sun exposure can cause wrinkles, age spots and other skin problems, you have to protect your skin from the sun. Whether it’s cloudy or cold outside lather your skin up with some more sunscreen with SPF of at least 30.

Beauty Sleep
Try to sleep at least 8 hours every night. If you don’t get enough shut eye, your skin gets tired just like you. So don’t risk it.

Water to the Rescue
Hydrate yourself. Drink lots of water daily, at least 8 glasses if not more. Also, eats fruits and vegetables that have a high water content such as watermelon, cucumber, orange and strawberries.

Massage In Your Moisturizer
Rather than dabbing on your face cream, use gentle pressure, massaging it into your skin in a circular motion. Do the same when you wash your face. This simple trick will kick your circulation into high gear. Plus, it feels so good.
